Verbalize Your Action, Issue #006 -- Verbalise Your Strategy
July 21, 2017

July 21 2017 #006

Whether You Are Aware or Not, You Have A Strategy

Being conscious of your strategy makes a big difference than not being conscious of it. When you have a strategy you are ready to plan for your mission. To produce a plan for your mission from your strategy, turn your noun (strategy) into an adjective (strategic) and link the adjective the noun "plan". Thats all there is to it. Of course, it is easier said than done.

That is the reason why even some companies have a challenge distinguishing between strategy and strategic plan. If you, as an individual, can make the difference between the two terms you will win at conducting your own strategy sessions and your own strategic planning sessions for your mission.

Your strategy is about you answering the "Who", "what", "why", "where", "when" of your presence here on earth so that you are able to rest in your-purpose. Or put it another way, your-purpose finally rests, settles and dwells inside you pervading, then prompting and finally governing every one of your thoughts, decisions, and actions.

Now That You Have Your Mission's Strategic Plan

Once you have your strategy, converting your strategy into your mission's strategic plan is a lot easier in practice.

Keep giving gratitude for your strategic plan that you have compiled to enable you do your mission.

One Way To Ensure You Follow Your Strategic Plan

Do the following things to make sure you follow through in doing your planned activities:

1) Allow your plan to pervade all areas of your life.

2) Think about your plan and the activities you have in it.

3) Take decisions that are directly supporting or intersecting with your activities inside your plan by allowing your activities to prompt your decisions.

4) Allow your actions to be governed by the decisions that you took in the first place.

5) Act in favour of your mission as you do the activities out of your plan.

Verbalize Each Activity You Do

Are your activities and the outcomes thereof reminding you of what you planned? Build your inner ability to interlink things so that you can see the big picture from the smaller activities. Here are some questions for you to help you align to your verbalization.

Do you see your personal identity in the activities that you are doing?

Can you trace your the results of your activities to your motives or your goals?

Now go on and ask yourself similar questions with regard to your self control, your skills utilization and your self efficacy.

NOTE: The same verbalization (see below) I used earlier can apply to what I do later.

Self Awareness Development

What Does Situational Awareness Mean?

One of the interesting words used in military situations is situational awareness. You can easily use this word to learn to be aware and engaged with your own surroundings all the time, wherever you are or find yourself. Its something you should practice - a practised art or skill. I found it quiet useful for my self awareness development in situations and really hope you will too.

The Tools I Use - What is SBI?

Productivity Depends on Process, Tools & Teams

Why Do I Use SBI?

One day during my MBA studies I realised that as an employee and a best practices consultant in software development it was common practice to quickly learn a tool, process and tool guides, write a certification exam, become certified and get out to tell other companies what and how they should deploy software solutions to make profit or gain competitive advantage

Then I discovered a question for myself. Why don't I develop my own products? I guess that was the best thing I learnt from my MBA studies. Of course the MBA instigated this behaviour in me. My MBA thesis supplied the business concept and material. Now I needed to get down to productivity.

After a long research for the best in class, I found SBI. Initially I was sceptical, but as I explored the SBI process, the tools and the core SBI support team including the more than 380 business sites that are running on top of SBI, I realised I was home and dry.

I hope you can enjoy as i am doing, slowly, step by step, just like the tortoise! Its a copycat cyclical game. You read, you check out some examples, you experiment on your own site and your release that part of your product and monitor it's performance.
