Verbalize Your Action, Issue #033 - Verbalize Your Journey

This is a Principle: Life Is A Journey, Not A Sprint

What comes to your mind immediately when you hear such a principle?

Many things could come to your mind. Call these the implications of this principle.

Here is one of those things - relax! In fact to relax means to take it easy. It does not at all exclude sprinting.

However, life as a journey has the impact on you that causes you to think about the oxygen you will need after sprinting, which implies that you should consider all aspects before you sprint: the start, the direction and the endpoint of your sprint.

You might one day call this principle the "Cooling Principle".

Begin to Think More About Your Sprints and Walks Inside Your Relaxation

Think about this for a moment.

What if you were to allocate one sprint for every seven (7) walks that you do in your life.

Just keep this as a kind of rule of thumb.

In other words you begin your set of 7 walks with a sprint, because the number eight (8) is a number of new beginnings while the number seven (7) is the number of completion.

Firstly, of course, you define for yourself what you mean by "walk" and what you mean by "sprint". The rest should become your history as you journey in life.

Here Is A Simple Example

You woke up at the right time (walk 1),

You did your early exercise (walk 2),

You ate your breakfast (walk 3),

You went to your work or business (walk 4),

You did all things in good order (walk 5),

You remembered to pass by the shops to get your favourite stuff enroute home (walk 6),

You did your after work family and personal duties (walk 7), and

You rounded up all the things you hoped to do by the time you went to bed (sprint 1).

Verbalize Your Journey

The walks and sprint above imply that your 7 walks with your sprint are really "Your life that is Your Journey." for that day.

You Enjoy Your Life!" or

"You Are On A Beautiful Journey."

You should get yourself used to verbalizing (saying and hearing yourself say it) that you are going to do "walks 1 to 7 and then sprint tomorrow", as you go to sleep tonight.

Now, here is a verbalization:

This is called self-programming.

If you do not program yourself then somebody will program you.

Remember! the robots are already here. How do you respond?

Self Awareness Development

Use the AEBOD to Build This Principle Into You

Enhance your journey by using the key - AEBOD (Aware, Engaged, Based, Oriented and Driven) to cement this principle in your soul.

Note that If you want to rise higher than where you are at right now you first need a higher language.

The Tools I Use - What is SBI?

Productivity Depends on Process, Tools & Teams

Why Do I Use SBI?

One day during my MBA studies I realised that as an employee and a best practices consultant in software development it was common practice to quickly learn a tool, process and tool guides, write a certification exam, become certified and get out to tell other companies what and how they should deploy software solutions to make profit or gain competitive advantage

Then I discovered a question for myself. Why don't I develop my own products? I guess that was the best thing I learnt from my MBA studies. Of course the MBA instigated this behaviour in me. My MBA thesis supplied the business concept and material. Now I needed to get down to productivity.

After a long research for the best in class tools for personal application, I found SBI. Initially I was sceptical, but as I explored the SBI process, the tools and the core SBI support team including the more than 380 business sites that are running on top of SBI, I realised I was home and dry.

I hope you can enjoy as i am doing, slowly, step by step, just like the tortoise! Its a copycat cyclical game. You read, you check out some examples, you experiment on your own site and your release that part of your product and monitor it's performance.
